Algebra I class uses real time data for stem and leaf lesson

Abbigail Robertson

Mr. Sebiski’s Algebra I students were hanging out at the water fountains during Algebra class today. This was entirely appropriate given today’s lesson, though.

The students split into two groups. One group covered D-pod and one group was responsible for C-pod. The students gathered data from each fountain in their pod and met in the Hub to get numbers from the water fountain across from the guidance office.

Each fountain keeps track of the number of plastic bottles saved by using the water fountains. Students gathered the totals from each fountain and returned to class to display the data in a stem and leaf plot.
