The spring sinfonietta orchestra concert occurred on April 30. This was the orchestra’s final formal concert for the 2024-2025 school year. The orchestra played a variety of music, including two excerpts— “They Are A-Roving” and “O Waly Waly” from John Rutter’s “Suite for Strings,” “Lyric Metal” by Brian Balmages, “Road Trip to Rio” by Bert Ligon, and “Beauty and the Beast” arranged by Calvin Custer.
A lot of students and parents alike had an enjoyable time at the concert, but one student, Madelyn Schwanger, spoke for all of them, saying, “It was a super fun and great experience. I loved the music that we played, and it was a great variety of types of genres of music. I’m sad to see our seniors go, as I’ve been with a lot of them since before high school orchestra, but I know our groups will continue to thrive over the upcoming years with more and more kids signing up for orchestra.”
Mr. Radspinner, the Orchestra Director at the High School, recognized all the seniors at the concert as well. He congratulated them on their hard work thus far and wished them well on their journeys to come.
