Have you always admired those who have a knack for gaming? Those who sometimes have the edge over others? Then you’ll be very interested to learn about or E-Sports Club here at the high school! The club is advised by Mr. Lingle, who was kind enough to share what E-Sports is all about. You may have lots of questions about the club, and here are some answers!
The club does meet during BANK, only on Tuesdays, as well as after school on Tuesdays, which serve as practices for the team and there is hope more will be added in the future for their spring season. These practices aren’t just for fun. These E-Sports athletes compete every Wednesday after school at 3:30, with the games varying as well as the number of participants in each competition.
The team has seen some changes in the past year, as they have been giving a new practice space where they have computers dedicated for gaming purposes, which includes 10 PCs and a Nintendo Switch, allowing them to play many of your favorite games like Rocket League, Smash Bros, Fortnite, and much more.
Around 25 students participate on the team, and they hope for success as their seasons march on. If you see an E-Sports athlete, now you know what they’re all about and the awesome talent they’re putting on display. Good luck to all of our E-Sports athletes this school year!
