Homecoming took place on Oct. 4 in the WAHS Commons. Approximately 500 tickets were sold, a record high number for recent years. The Commons were decorated with streamers and balloons, and lots of students affirmed that they liked the way the decorations turned out.
In addition to nice decorations, there was also a great response to the music and overall atmosphere of the dance. Some of the songs that students claimed to have liked were: “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers, “Dirty Little Secret” by The All-American Rejects, and “Party 4 U” by Charli XCX.
One student who attended the dance, Elijah Hopton, said: “I really enjoyed the music that they played this year. I had a really fun time being able to dance and have a fun night with my friends.”
The Homecoming Dance was organized by the Student Government club and Ms. Day.
