On Nov. 6, the Williamsport Area Band program hosted their annual fall concert. The band’s students have worked towards this concert since the school year started. It was the first of four concerts of this school year, a debut for the students, new and old, this year.
The concert had music played by the Symphonic band and the Wind Ensemble. Some of the songs performed were “Albanian Dance” by Shelley Hanson, the medley “Kentucky-1800” by Clare Grundman, and “Halcyon Hearts” by Katahj Copley. The band’s director, Mr. Bulgarelli, has ensured the Williamsport band have maintained their reputation for playing good music for the community that came out to support them that night.
A student, Elliana Hayward, who performed in the concert, said, “I really enjoy being in band as a class. I didn’t play last year, and I really regret it. This concert was fun, and I was proud of how the songs sounded.” The audience was engaged and enjoyed the concert. Families and friends love to come out and support the students. The next concert is soon, a Christmas concert, on December 14. The band will be playing and will be just as impressive as they were at this concert.
