Millionaire singers traveled to Washington D.C., to perform at the White House on Tuesday. “It was an amazing opportunity,” said sophomore Colton Taylor.
Students hadn’t had such an opportunity since December of 2018 due to Covid restrictions, according to choir director Megan Louder.
“It was the coolest school trip I’ve been on,” senior Alonso Rice said. “We performed in the East Room for guests during their tours, and then we got to tour the White House,” he added.
“The bus left at 4:00 a.m.,” William Ciabattari explained. “So it was an early day, but so worth it,” he added.
“We had to wait for quite a while outside for all of the security checks,” Ciabattari said. “But once we got inside, it was amazing to see all of the decorations in the White House. ”
Afterwards, they had a chance to sightsee. “It was a fabulous trip. I got a picture right under the Lincoln Memorial,” Taylor added.
