Senior Maya Clary won first prize in the contest.
Culinary students made gingerbread houses in class and displayed them for students and staff to view and vote on during the last week of classes before break.
Students had a variety of ingredients to use to construct their houses, but they could only use the ingredients provided by the instructors.
“I really tried to focus on the small details and creativity for my house,” winner Maya Clary explained.
This is the second year that Mrs. Renk invited the school to view the gingerbread houses. “I am ecstatic about how many teachers brought their classes down to participate!” Mrs. Renk explained.
