Williamsport Area High School launched their first Spirit Week of the 2024-2025 school year, sponsored by SGA. This spirit week lined up with the Homecoming game on Friday, Oct. 11 and the Homecoming dance on Saturday, Oct. 12.
The week started off with Age Day on Monday, which had the second most participation by students, where freshmen and sophomores dressed as babies and upperclassmen dressed as senior citizens. Tuesday was for Color War, where each grade was assigned a different color to wear to school. Wednesday was Halloween Pajamas, which brought by far the most participation of the week. Couples and friends were matching and even teachers joined in on the movement. Thursday was Decades Day, with many students dressing like they were in the ’60s and ’90s. The week finished with a classic Blackout for the Friday night football game for the student section.
Student Government adviser Mrs. Heggenstaller said, “My favorite part about spirit week was the decades day and age day which was a blast.”
SGA looks forward to more spirit weeks and activities to get the student body interacting this school year.
