The Lady Millionaires cross country team had an impressive season, finishing with a record of 18-2, while the Men Millionaires cross-country team ended their season with a close 16-4.
The Lady Millionaires were led by captains Izzy and Maddie Sanders(10), who guided the team all the way to the state championships. This was the twins’ second year in a row qualifying for states. This year, they placed 70th and 71st out of 237 girls. Freshman runners Faith Hale and Lola Kastner also contributed to the team’s success this season. The Men Millionaires were led by captains Owen Trump (12) and Cooper Allmaras (11) who successfully led the team through the season.
Reflecting on the season, Coach Mr. Steppe commented, “The Lady Millionaires were a young but dominant force this season, with all seven members of their varsity lineup being freshmen and sophomores. The qualities of hard work, perseverance, and team commitment were very evident. We are excited to see this outstanding group of young runners improve next season!”
The Millionaires cross-country team gave it their best, and their best was clearly more than enough.
