Last night, the YWCA Northcentral PA hosted its 16th Annual Women of Excellence Awards at the Community Arts Center, recognizing outstanding women in our community who make a difference across a wide range of fields. This year, Williamsport Area High School was proud to see seven of our students nominated by faculty and staff for the Young Women of Excellence Award, along with our beloved drama teacher, Mrs. Marie Fox, who was nominated and won in the Art and Culture category.
The Women of Excellence Awards celebrate leaders, creators, and advocates across diverse categories, and our WAHS nominees truly shined, showcasing their talents and commitment to making a difference.

Our students represented the best of WAHS, each demonstrating leadership, dedication, and excellence in their fields. Special recognition goes to Eleanor Macdonald, Chelsey Harrison, Jayden Ulmer, and Maci Shirey, who all received awards in their respective categories. These students embody the values of our school and inspire their peers to reach for new heights.
We also celebrate Mrs. Marie Fox, who was recognized in the Art and Culture category for her impact on the arts at WAHS and within the Williamsport community. Mrs. Fox’s dedication to our school’s drama department has touched countless students, and her award is a well-deserved honor that reflects her talent and commitment.
