The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), took a trip to Penn College on Jan. 8 to put their hard work in their club to the test. The group totaled 26 and more than half of them qualified with such a high score they will go on to state-level competition in April.
Student winners included senior Khamani Dyson took first place overall for Public Speaking; senior Faith Nonemaker took second for Job Interview; Corban Shirey took second and Isabella Newcomer took fifth for Accounting 2; Steven Bott and Dashaun White placed third for Sales Presentation; Calissa Reed, Emma Vollman and Peyton Kelly placed third for Hospitality and Event Management; Gavion Price placed third, Jailyn Miller placed fourth, and Emma Banzhafk, Kyieer Moore and Danair Carter placed fifth in Business Management; Kosi Nwadukwe placed sixth in Intro to Business.
