This year the Educators Rising club, a club created for students aspiring to become teachers to build the skills they will need and gain opportunities to experience what teaching is like, is hosting a donation called “Shoe Us the Love,” where students can bring in shoes for people in underdeveloped civilizations.
This amazing fundraiser requires no money, just gently to new worn shoes for those who don’t have access to them. It’s a world-wide campaign that brings the shoes to the underdeveloped civilizations and not only give them the shoes but also teach them about business and help them open up their own small businesses to help support their economy. Their goal is to reach 4,000 pounds of shoes and any donation would be very appreciated.
Mrs. Cipriani, one of the club advisors, commented: “This is truly an amazing program to help upcoming nations who largely don’t have access to shoes. Sadly, due to their underdeveloped status they don’t have access to the luxury of vehicles and have to walk either barefoot or self-made shoes. Using these donations the organization they go to will not only give these upcoming nations shoes but also help them start their own small businesses to help their economy.”
