WAHS partners with Commonwealth University of PA for dual enrollment courses

The Williamsport Area School District Board of Education recently approved a collaboration between the district and the Commonwealth University of PA for the University’s Early College Program.

This partnership allows students to earn both high school and college credits simultaneously, and adds to the district’s unique offering of college and career opportunities for students.

Each credit costs $115 and a 3-credit course will cost $345.  Comparatively, tuition can range anywhere from $300 per credit to upwards of $1500 per credit hour for college students. So, Williamsport students now have the opportunity to complete an entire college course for less than the cost of one credit at many universities.
