Each year SGA students try to outdo themselves with new spirit week themes. “We want to get the most number of students involved, so we try to pick themes everyone will be excited about,” explained advisor Ms. Heggenstaller.
“We meet as a group to pick spirit days,” explained Neairah Connelly. “Sometimes we look at Tik Tok for ideas, too.”
Spirit Week kicked off with Pajama Day. “Pajama Day definitely has the most participation,” said Charlize Smith. “I think it’s because everyone has something they can wear.”

A new edition this year was Barbie and Ken Day on Tuesday. There were lots of Hawaiian shirts and lots of pink in the hallways on Tuesday. Wednesday was twin day.
On Thursday, teachers and students switched places for “Dress Like a Teacher/ Dress Like a Student” day. “It’s kind of fun for a day to act like a teacher,” said sophomore Andrew Ware.
“It’s really fun to see the teachers get involved,” added Connolly. “I think seeing the teachers participate motivates more kids to get involved.”
Spirit Week wrapped up with Cherry and White Day and the Fall Pep Rally.
