On Oct. 29, both the Sinfonietta Orchestra and Concert Choir performed their fall concert in the Williamsport Area High School auditorium. Both the orchestra and choir are classes within the school that students choose to participate in and get graded for. Among numerous other fall concerts in the WAHS music department, this event was a highlight for many.
The Sinfonietta orchestra performed four songs, one of which was titled “The Moldeau,” while the Concert Choir sang six songs and included some choreography for one of the songs. All songs showcased different genres. The concert was given praise from the audience, with audience members saying that the concert was very good, it was quick but kept them engaged, and the concert was very well executed and performed.
For the students, the experience was equally fulfilling. Sadie Bower, a Sinfonietta student shared, “I had so much fun learning and playing the music and loved seeing the outcome on stage.” The concert displayed the talents of the performers and highlighted the dedication of all the students and conductors involved in bringing this event to life.
