The 2026 Homecoming Pep Rally was an exciting and energetic event that brought students, athletes, and the band together to celebrate the school community, organized by SGA. The gym was filled with so much school spirit as students came together to support one another. The rally created an engaging atmosphere and gave everyone an opportunity to celebrate the homecoming week.
The cheerleaders and band played an important role in the pep rally by kicking it off. As the students started filling into the bleachers, the band and cheerleaders were performing. The band played all of their best songs while the cheerleaders danced along. After all the students filled the seats, the cheerleaders put on a performance. The performance consisted of dancing, tumbling, jumping, and of course… more dancing! The band and cheerleaders played a huge part in the pep rally, and they were a great way to get the pep rally started.
One of the highlights of the event was the introduction of the teams that represent Williamsport High School. The teams that were announced were Football, Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer, Golf, Cross Country, Volleyball, Tennis, and Cheer. Each team was recognized for their seniors, and the hard work and dedication they had put into their seasons. All eight of these teams have been working so hard during this season to lead to victories and make our student body proud.
The event also had three fun and competitive games. The first game played was Snake IO. Snake IO consisted of teams with eight players on each. Each player at the end of the game needed to have a balloon between each of them without using their hands. The second game that was played was Keep It Alive, where the Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores and Freshman went against each other to keep the balloon alive until they got to the other end of the gym. The third game that was played was dodge ball with two different teams where sophomores and seniors were on one team and freshman and juniors were on the other team. Dodgeball was a very competitive game when some of the lovely staff members joined the two teams.
The event was announced by the lovely Micheal Vincent who is a senior as well as on the cheer squad. The event was also announced by the amazing Siani Nixon, a sophomore who also is on the cheer squad. Micheal and Siani’s energy helped keep the event flowing smoothly and made each activity more exciting for their peers. Micheal and Siani’s presence added to the fun atmosphere and helped keep the students more engaged throughout the event.
Overall, the 2026 Homecoming Pep rally was a memorable celebration to honor school spirit, athletics, and the school community.
