Roughly a month ago, three Odyssey of the Mind teams from the district competed in the PA State Finals at the Pocono Mountain East campus on March 28. Out of those three teams, WAMS placed 3rd in their division (did not advance), Curtin took 1st and advance to World Finals, and your very own WAHS team tied for second, meaning two of the three district teams are competing at Iowa State University in May! 

Seeing as how the trip out to Ames, Iowa is expensive, the teams are constantly putting out fundraisers, so stay tuned to see how you can support the teams on their journey. Multiple fundraisers like bake sales and Panera nights have already taken place, but there are plenty more on the way, so be on the lookout! 

Both teams also had the pleasure of being interview by WNEP’s Mackenzie Aucker and were featured on the news, showcasing their success at States and how they feel about the upcoming World Finals.
