On Sept. 23, 2026, clubs opened at WAMS. Clubs are fun activities that students can choose to do on Wednesdays. They open opportunities for various activities for students who want to participate. Some of them even change the school as a whole for the better, like the Hope Squad Club preventing suicide, the Student Council club bringing a positive vibe to the building and organizing events for the school, or the Journalism club, interviewing students to compile WAMS news to show on the Billtown Banner, where you’re reading this right now.
If you’re wondering how clubs could help a student to reach their goals, lots of these help the school, teach you to be creative, develop critical thinking, and some even teach careers, which is why clubs are a perfect choice for a school district like WASD, which attempts to perfectly grow a child for the career they’re up for, giving the child freedom to try different things.
As Audrey Swift, a member of the Student Council of WAMS said, “Clubs allow students to explore their own interests and create new paths for them which might not have been available before.”
In case you’re worried a child might not have enough options to choose from, WAMS features a whopping 30 clubs, giving you a large selection of opportunities for any activity you want to pursue, and all you have to do is join one. If your child wants to be able to explore their interests, then try taking them to WAMS–they might have something for them.
